Creative Car Park has announced a new partnership to operate Bristol City Council’s four main leisure centre car parks.

The installation of the new car park management system will put a stop to the abuse that the car parks have previously experienced by non-users (especially local taxis, office/shop workers and commuters). The new system will ensure that leisure centre users benefit from a plentiful supply of free parking spaces.

Each car park now offers a maximum stay of three hours and is controlled by high-tech Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras that record images of each vehicle as it enters and leaves the car park.

The data from the cameras is constantly analysed and a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) is issued to offenders by post – providing a far less confrontational system to clamping and towing – and is certainly more beneficial to drivers who do not suffer any delays or inconvenience – or extortionate release fees.

There is nothing more off-putting than arriving at your gym and finding the car park full and congested. I have personally seen many car parks that are full, long before the establishment opens. Creative Car Park was the first company in the United Kingdom to offer maximum stay parking regulations, monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras. They are Approved Operators of the British Parking Association (BPA) and are subject to regular audit by the DVLA.
