Creative Car Park celebrates Earth Day with eco-focused activities

To mark Earth Day, the global event dedicated to protecting the environment and living more sustainably, Creative Car Park is launching a series of activities designed to celebrate our commitment to a greener future.

Starting today, our amazing colleagues will be pledging to #Do1Thing that will make a small but meaningful difference to their lives and the world around them.

We have already received several personal pledges from our equality, diversity and inclusion champions, including:

    • Nick: “My pledge is going to be Meatless Mondays, full vegan in fact, and I’ll do it for as long as I’m able to.”
    • Joanna: “I pledge to eat less meat and dairy and replace it with grains and beans. I am planning to do it long term and make it my normal routine.”
    • Melinda: “My pledge is to do a park clean with my daughter and to keep picking up litter on weekends when the weather is nice.”

This week we’re also making wildflower seeds and herbs available to all our colleagues, which they can plant and help reduce their carbon footprint (as well as bring a little extra colour into their homes and gardens).

Then on Tuesday April 30, we’ll be having a plant-based food day where staff are invited to consider the impact of meat farming by bringing in vegan dishes and desserts to share with their colleagues.

And we’re not stopping there…

We are pledging to plant a tree for every one of our new sites installed over the next 12 months. To make this happen, we’ve partnered with Tree Nation, the platform to reforest the world and fight climate change.

We look forward to planting hundreds of trees on behalf of our clients, taking us all one step closer to a greener and more sustainable future.

Creative Car Park CEO Stuart Cummings commented on the planned activities: “Earth Day highlights the importance of protecting the environment, and our equality, diversity and inclusion champions identified this as one of the key events to celebrate and focus on in 2024.
