North Manchester General Hospital

The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

We have had a relationship with the Hospital’s Travel and Access Manager and the Trust for a number of years however, it was in 2014 when their then car park contractor pulled out of the contract leaving them in a very difficult situation, that we were able to quickly mobilise a team of professional parking attendants in order to provide full control and management of their 4 main sites – North Manchester General, Royal Oldham, Rochdale and Fairfield.

All the signage across these sites also needed to be removed and replaced with our own which was a massive challenge but one that we rose to in a professional and timely manner.

Over the past 3 years, we have developed our relationship and services that we provide to the Trust including our Phone & Pay service across the sites.

We have also assisted the Trust with the development of a new car park at the Royal Oldham Hospital where they built a 500 space ANPR/barrier controlled car park.

This meant we had to work closely with their contractors in order to enable the two systems to work together, as well as importing all staff registration numbers into our back-office permit system, in order that they were recognised by the cameras and the barrier would rise.

The Trust also allow this site to be used by Oldham Athletic Football Club as an additional parking area for their supporters on match days therefore, we showed flexibility in allowing the system to be switched off on these occasions so that the fans did not get issued with a Parking Charge Notice.

A key factor in the success of this contract has been the excellent working relationship which we have with the Hospital’s Travel and Access Manager as he works very closely with Anita Young, meeting on a regular basis, particularly with regards to the appeals process.

Central Manchester University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust


We have been working with CMFT since October 2014 and provide our professional car park attendants at their central site which includes the Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
We also provide our ANPR system at their Trafford General site to help enforce their 3 hour maximum stay policy.

The Trust also commissioned us to help develop an on-line staff permit application and management software so that their staff can apply for and pay for their parking permits on a secure site, once their application has gone through a two stage verification process with their Line Manager and the Car Park office.

It was with this Trust that we were awarded a ‘Highly Commended’ at the IHEEM Healthcare Estates Awards where the panel commented:
