Creative Car Park boosts portfolio with Oak Mall deal

Creative Car Park has boosted its growing portfolio with its new partnership with the Oak Mall Shopping Centre. Oak Mall is the premier shopping centre in Greenock on the west coast of Scotland some 15 miles north from Glasgow. The Centre has almost 100 stores with many of the UK’s leading retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Primark, Boots the Chemist, W H Smiths and New Look.

Creative has taken a 10 year lease on the car parks associated with Oak Mall. There are two car parks, Hunters Place and King Street, which offer convenient shopper parking. Creative is using the latest automatic number plate recognition ANPR technology to enforce the car parks where new charges have been introduced at £1 per hour with a maximum stay of 4 hours. New payment terminals have been installed within the centre and customers have the option to pay by cash or use our pay by phone parking option.

Phone and pay is the new way to pay for parking. Customers will be able to pay for parking on their mobile phone using a debit or credit card – the new service provides major conveniences for customers at Oak Mall.

Gary Wayne, Managing Director of Creative Car Park, says “We are delighted to be selected by Oak Mall as their preferred partner to manage and operate their car parks. Creative has over 15 years’ experience  managing car park management and corporate reputations on behalf of household names and our facilities management experience enables our retail clients to get on with their important work of running a business.”

Claire Jefcoate, the Centre Manager at Oak Mall, said, “Effective management of our car parks is essential to the success of Oak mall Shopping Centre to ensure we continue to generate footfall to our centre in these challenging trading conditions. Creative’s operations are professional and comprehensive. Their management team ensured that the new changes were implemented quickly and efficiently without any disruption to our customers. I am pleased that we have selected Creative to manage our car parks.”
